Interlibrary Loan Account

If you have questions about Interlibrary Loan (ILL), please contact Andrew Stout, Access Services Librarian, at astout@umsl.edu.
 

 A   In the top navigation menu of the library homepage, expand My Accounts and select the Interlibrary Loan Account option.

 B   Click the Log In / Create a New Request link in the middle of the page to log in to your account using your standard university SSO ID and password.

 C   The page will open on the Requests tab, which shows the history of your requested items. Note the different item types (e.g., Article, Print Book) and statuses (e.g., Submitted, Click here to view item, Link expired, Complete).

 D   You can enter information for a new request by clicking the Create request button.

 E   You can cancel a submitted item by selecting its checkbox and clicking the Cancel requests button.

 F   If you click the Request details link in the Submitted Date column, you will see more details about the item and a log of the notifications you have received.

 G   If your link has expired, your book has been returned, or you can’t locate the PDF you downloaded, you can click the Request again button.

 H   Switch to the Profile tab to specify how and where you receive notifications.

     Make sure you’re receiving email notifications. (If this is deselected, you’ll still receive non-ILL-related library notifications.)

 J   If you don't often check the email it lists by default, you can specify an alternate email.

 K   You can choose to receive ILL notifications by text as well.
