A guide to resources & services offered to UMSL faculty and staff

Library Instruction for Classes and Other Groups

UMSL faculty may request library instruction sessions for their classes. The instruction sessions usually provide a general overview to library services followed by detailed information that is relevant to the needs of a particular class. Normally the sessions demonstrate how to find articles, books, and other information sources using library databases, indexes, the online catalog and whatever else is felt to be important. Instructors should feel free to consult with librarians about the topics and resources that they would like covered in a particular session.

  • We can help your students learn the best ways to find and evaluate information by providing library instruction tailored to your course.
  • For more information about our library instruction classes or to request a session, use the Library Instruction Request Form.

Find Classroom Space

UMSL Faculty and Staff can submit classroom reservation requests for Course Breakout Sessions or Special Ad-Hoc Requests using the 25Live system.
