Accessing Your Library Accounts

UMSL students, faculty, and staff currently have access to 2 library accounts, depending on the material they've requested, checked out, or saved. Below is an explanation of how to access them and how they differ.

The other pages in this section provide guidance on how to renew your loans and perform other account actions.

To access one of your accounts, go to My Accounts in the top navigation menu of the library homepage (umsl.edu/library).

How Your Account Differ

My Library Account

  • Your Discover@UMSL/MyEBSCO account
  • UMSL books
  • UM System books (these have a white band)

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Account

  • Articles from other libraries (worldwide)
  • Books from libraries that are not part of the UM System or MOBIUS
  • ILL books usually have a  yellow band 

MOBIUS Account

  • Currently, patrons can place MOBIUS requests but cannot manage their own accounts
  • If you have questions about your MOBIUS account, contact Andrew Stout at astout@umsl.edu.
  • MOBIUS items usually have a  green band
