Resources Provided Through the UMSL Libraries

Many, but not all of the resources listed on the Databases A-Z page are restricted to UMSL users.

UMSL Students, Faculty & Staff

  • UMSL students, faculty, and staff have access to all resources and can access resources both on campus and remotely (using their SSO ID).
  • Specific databases may require individual accounts in order to track progress, control downloads, etc.  Other databases offer optional accounts so users can access additional features such as saving searches, email updates, etc.  All these accounts are controlled by various vendors and have different requirements.  When creating these database or vendor specific accounts, please do not use your SSO ID login information.

General Public Use of Restricted Resources

  • The General public cannot access restricted items remotely, but may be able to access them if they visit the Libraries or are on campus. Public access terminals are provided on Level 3 (by the entrance) and Level 2 (by the Mercantile Desk).  If you have any questions, please ask for assistance at one of the desks.

Some UMSL resources are provided, in whole or in part, by the wider University of Missouri system, and/or the Missouri Research and Education Network (MOREnet).
