  • Discover@UMSL, the search box in the middle of the Libraries' homepage, searches the holdings of the UMSL Libraries. Not all government information resources held by UMSL appear in Discover@UMSL. However, this is still a good place to start researching government resources. Includes links to Internet resources.
  • Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP)
    Coverage: July 1976-- ; brief records for older material slowly being added. The primary catalog for electronic and print publications from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the U.S. government. The CGP contains descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online. 
  • GovInfo.gov

    Official site for searching federal government documents from the Government Printing Office. Contains the official, authorized versions of documents.

  • USA.gov

    This is the official portal of the United States federal government. Browse or search by topic or agency.

  • Congress.gov

    Coverage: 93rd congress (1973)-present.
    First place to go to track legislation: bill summaries, sponsors, roll call votes, full text, committee reports and hearings, CBO cost estimates, related bills, and amendments.
