Digital Humanities Introduction

Digital Humanities (DH), sometimes called humanities computing, is the intersection of humanist inquiry and emergent digital technologies.

DH describes both the production of scholarly works through the application of new digital tools to traditional humanities works and the development of the tools necessary for the scholarship, teaching, and research in the digital age.

The field of DH is vast, and the goal of this guide is to introduce you to some of the tools for DH production. It is created to help support DH initiatives at UMSL and to support the UMSL Digital Humanities Lab located in Lucas room 416.
